Fire Destroys Boathouse and Equipment

During the night of January 24th, Tulsa Rowing Club’s Boathouse was the victim of vandalism and arson. Club members are stunned and saddened at the loss of our rowing home and the loss of boats that carried us through the comradery of practices and racing.  Insurance investigators, Tulsa Fire Department and federal arson agents are working quickly to bring justice to the situation, for which we extend our gratitude.  The full extent of our losses is not yet known, but in the coming days, there will be an opportunity to provide funding assistance to our rebuilding efforts.  Please check back often for updates.

With the damage to the boathouse, our companion Youth program also experienced the loss of their workout facility and equipment and fundraising is ongoing to replace those items.  Go to www.okrowing.org for more information.

Tulsa Rowing Club oars will flash again on the Arkansas River.
